Dan Blackburn joined Standard Chartered as Head of HR, Transformation, Technology & Operations (TTO) in April 2023. As part of the Standard Chartered HR leadership team and reporting to the Global Head of HR for functions and TTO, Dan is accountable for leading HR strategy and organization transformation across TTO as well as being responsible for partnering both the bank’s CIOs for corporate and investment banking, wealth and retail banking and corporate functions and the bank’s transformation leaders across TTO and our three year ‘Fit for Growth program.

Key focuses for Dan are workforce optimization and organizational change, improving strategic workforce planning to enable a skills-based organization across technology as Standard Chartered continue to drive towards being a customer centric, data driven, digital bank.

Prior to Standard Chartered, Dan held a number of HR leadership roles in Dyson Technology and Vodafone working as an HR generalist and transformation leader in the UK, Singapore and the USA. With an engineering project management background, Dan started in telecoms leading large infrastructure programs before switching over to HR and focusing on organizational change and workforce strategy in a variety of generalist and COE roles.

Dr Andrew Epaphroditus Tay

Dr. Tay is Chief Well-being Officer at NUS and oversees the groundbreaking initiatives of their Health & Wellbeing unit (HWB). Under his leadership, the HWB has achieved unprecedented success since 2020. Through innovative initiatives such as the ‘return-to-work case management’, ‘well-being business partnering’ and unique destigmatisation campaigns, the unit has tangibly improved the well-being of the university community. Andrew has also pioneered the WellNUS systematic framework, revolutionizing the approach to mental health among practitioners.

A medical professional with a wealth of experience in the tech and pharma industries, Andrew has played pivotal roles in the employee benefits and well-being space. Serving as the Regional Benefits Consultant for Facebook, he steered the design of physical and mental health benefits across the Asia Pacific. As the Director for Health & Wellbeing at GSK, he led the development of occupational health services and strategies, enhancing the health and well-being of employees in Singapore and the broader APAC region.

Andrew is a proud alumnus of the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and holds a Masters of Public Health with a specialization in Occupational and Environmental Health from NUS, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Human Resource from SMU. His post-graduate training was completed at the NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, Ministry of Manpower, Ministry of Health and restructured hospitals.

Gerard Koh

From commanding an armored brigade, designing an award winning campus, to transforming the HR practice that makes “Mission First, People Always” come alive, Gerard has done it all! Gerard is a thought leader, non-conformist and keen designer of people experiences.

He is a strategist and architect of change as well as a builder of high-performing teams. With a knack for nurturing talent and a keen eye for spotting and unlocking potential, he brings over 30 years of expertise in senior leadership, organization and process design, strategic workforce planning, culture change and leadership development to the table. Now at Singtel, Gerard's expertise thrives in leading special projects at the group level to propel their B.I.G (belonging, impact and growth) people agenda. This role allows him to combine his strategic vision, creativity with a passion for cross functional strategic design work and people development. 

He also designs and executes the renovations of NCS's campus to foster a vibrant and collaborative workspace where people come together to make extraordinary things happen! Gerard led the global People and Culture team at NCS and delivered the transformative people strategy to support NCS’ growth to a global digital solutions partner. Before NCS, Gerard served as CHRO and Chief Corporate Officer at SMRT.

Gerard started his career in the Singapore Armed Forces, where he commanded an armored brigade, and served as the Head of the National Service, Recruitment  and Strategic HR Plans departments. He retired as a Colonel after 33 adventurous years. Gerard is certified as a HR Master Practitioner by Singapore’s Institute of HR Professionals (IHRP), and is an award winning HR leader.

Jason Tamara Widjaja
  
Executive Director of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Singapore Tech Center, MSD

Jason believes in working towards a better world through data and AI. As the executive  director of AI, he leads the global strategic direction of AI capabilities and best practices,  working in close partnership with key business and technology stakeholders.  

Jason’s work on AI capabilities spans both classical and modern approaches, including natural language processing, computer vision, machine learning and generative AI. His  team is consistently at the forefront of AI thinking and research, driving decisions and  guiding AI capability development by making the right bets in a fast moving and uncertain environment. At MSD, Jason is also responsible for AI ethics and governance maturity, as a  co-author of the company’s AI policy and leader of AI risk and trust and safety teams.   

He actively contributes to national initiatives including Singapore’s skills framework for data and AI careers, Singapore’s AI Governance Framework, and is an author for  Singapore’s AI Ethics and Governance Body of Knowledge. Jason also serves as the Vice  President of the AI & Robotics Chapter of the Singapore Computer Society and as one of  Singapore’s nominated representatives to the Global Partnership of Artificial Intelligence. 

Jason spent half his career in Australia before relocating back to Singapore in 2016. Since  then, he has been active in the local start-up ecosystem, as a co-founder of Lauretta.io with his brother Galvin, and a mentor to AI startups in partnership with local venture capital firms in Singapore. A recognized thought leader, Jason regularly speaks at international conferences and has been featured in the Business Times, TODAY and the  Sydney Morning Herald.  

Chin Yin Ong

Since joining Grab in 2015, Chin Yin has built up multiple teams from scratch and drove the hypergrowth of the company through expanding the team significantly, launching new businesses as well as constantly evolving the culture. Chin Yin has more than 20 years of experience that spans across sales, marketing and human resources in both FMCG and technology industries. She has led numerous transformative programs across organizational design and development, rewards, talent acquisition, talent management and industrial relations in Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa.

Richard Cooper

Richard is the Business Leader at Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB) Singapore. Drawing upon his extensive experience, Richard identifies new growth opportunities, forges strategic partnerships and expands MMB’s market presence. While focusing on operational excellence, Richard implements innovative strategies to increase productivity and enhance MMB client focus.

Between 2019 and 2024, Richard was Chief Operating Officer for MMB Asia. Richard worked closely with MMB’s Asian business leaders to define and execute operational strategy, ensuring the establishment of a sustainable operating model. His efforts have been instrumental in driving consistency for MMB clients across Asia, supporting the company’s revenue and margin aspirations. Richard’s professional experience includes 16 years with Allianz where he worked in various distribution, program/project, consulting and transformation roles. He was also with Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) for 3 years, leading JLT’s Advantage program in Asia, which rolled out JLT’s Target Operating Model to JLT’s Asia entities and the EB program, which managed the role out of aligned operating model with technology.

Miriam Daucher

Chen is a principal consultant based in Singapore, where he leads the sales and delivery of multi-country health and wellbeing projects in the Asia–Pacific region. In his current role as health consulting lead, Chen’s focus is on growing MMB Multinational health consulting practice in Asia with a focus on large and strategic clients identifying emerging client needs, co-creating solutions with our clients and driving innovation and thought leadership.

He has over 10 years of cross-industry experience in banking, consulting and health-tech. Chen’s consulting experience is across benefits benchmarking, post M&A benefits harmonization, global benefits management, inclusive benefits, total well-being and telehealth.

Dimitris Efthyvoulou

As the leader of the Multinational Advisory team in Asia, based in Singapore, Dimitris brings a wealth of strategic insights and practical expertise to his role. He is an expert in international employee benefits, retirement and workforce financial wellness initiatives. With extensive experience supporting organizations to navigate the dynamic landscape of employee benefits and retirement planning in Asia, Dimitris understands the complexities involved and provides actionable strategies to support organizations seeking to enhance their employee benefits programs.

Previously based in the United Kingdom, Dimitris advised international organizations on retirement and HR challenges, including strategy development, benefit design, funding solutions and corporate transactions.

Riko Gimbayashi

Riko is an Associate Consultant of the Career Consulting Service Group at Mercer Japan. She has been involved in various projects, including the development of a new HR policy, compensation system, the implementation of a global job grading system and employee engagement surveys.

She has supported clients across multiple industries, including manufacturing, telecommunication, IT and the public sector. Before joining Mercer, she worked for other consulting firms, as well as in the medical industry.

David Jones

David heads up business growth and expansion efforts across global markets and is instrumental in leading key client relationships across the organization. He is also the driving force behind the company’s research and innovation efforts to identify future human capital priorities.

With over 34 years of human capital experience, of which 26 years are within the Middle East, he has worked with clients in over 40 countries on a broad range of talent, leadership, assessment, performance, transformation, innovation and inclusion projects. He is experienced in using a wide variety of psychometric instruments.

With a background in labor market economics, David is a senior advisor to policy makers and organizational leaders on their most pressing human capital priorities. Based in Mercer’s Hong Kong office Jackson is the regional champion for talent solutions in Asia, playing the role of senior advisor to a large number of leading organizations. Jackson has over 20 years of experience in strategy and HR consulting. He has advised many clients on issues such as talent strategy, EVP/EX/engagement, organization design, strategic workforce planning, incentive design, culture and values, assessment/development and HR transformation.

Jackson also has extensive experience in the management of large-scale implementation projects, often involving multiple countries and entities. He has delivered both public and in-house training courses throughout Asia on a variety of topics.

Disha Kaushal

Disha is the Talent Strategy Consulting Director in the Regional Career business based at Mercer’s Singapore office. In her current role, she is responsible for maintaining and growing the regional portfolio of key accounts for oil and gas, hospitality, renewables and life sciences industries, each with very diverse and distinctive set of talent challenges.

Additionally she shoulders responsibility for skills advisory and ESG solution architecture for the region. Hannah Lennon

Hannah Lennon, Principal, Mercer Hannah is a Principal with Mercer’s Talent Solutions business in Singapore. Focused on understanding how to build a sustainable workforce, Hannah helps clients to translate what the future of work means for jobs and skills. She leads the Employee Engagement and Experience solution area for Mercer Singapore and a number of public and private sector projects across the wider talent and transformation area. Before moving to Singapore in 2018 with Mercer, Hannah worked for Willis Towers Watson in London.

Lionel Low
Senior Client Solutions and Executive Remuneration Leader, ASEAN Mercer

Lionel Low is the Senior Client Solutions Principal at Mercer where he oversees the most complex cross-disciplinary projects and puts clients at the core of what we do. He is also responsible for developing innovative solutions for early adopter clients and the development of rewards consultants in Singapore and emerging markets.

With 18 years of experience in HR consulting, Lionel has deep know-how in LTI design, executive compensation, competencies, training roadmap, performance management, job evaluation, career architecture, rewards philosophy, compensation and benefits, sales incentive, bonus plan and M&A integration. His client work has taken him across Asia, Europe and the US.

Examples of his projects include: Revamping the LTI and STI plans for top executives in a Temasek portfolio company that led to increased line-of-sight between rewards and business results. Designing sales incentive plans for a leading MNC across APAC that led to record-sales and diversified product portfolio. Streamlining an overly-hierarchical grade structure and instilling pay-for-performance in a life insurance firm that led to record-high engagement score. Developing sectoral career framework, salary ranges, competencies and training roadmap for the special education sector in Singapore that contributed to increased funding to the sector by the Government.

Tracey is the Regional Mobility Leader for Mercer, Asia. Her focus is designing compensation and benefit policies for enterprises with global presence, streamlining mobility process, conducting mobility, cross-cultural and compliance management workshops. Supported by the well-known Mercer survey reports, she is dedicated to helping companies expand overseas with customized solutions.

Before joining Mercer, Tracey was the global mobility program manager for a Fortune 500 company, supporting over 200 expats on assignments in more than 20 countries across America, Asia, Australia and Europe. She earned the GPHR certification from HRCI and is recognized as a Chartered Tax Adviser by the Australian Tax Institute.

Jean Martin
Global Head of Product, GBS and Career

Jean is Mercer’s Global Product Leader, GBS and Career, leading the Global Product function and work for Mercer across all global data and technology solutions.  She is also the Career GBS Leader for Asia, Middle East and Pacific. 

Jean joined Mercer in 2018 from Gartner and Corporate Executive Board (CEB) where she spent 22 years building businesses focused on innovations in HR skills, process and technology. She also has advanced background in analytics, econometrics and machine learning and is applying those actively to modernise Mercer’s extensive array of products and solutions for the future of work.

Prior to that Jean worked in public policy in the White House for President Bill Clinton, and for Housing and Urban Development Secretary Andrew Cuomo as a Presidential Management Fellow.

Manisha Mehta

Based in Singapore where she has lived for the past 17 years, Manisha is a Senior Principal within the Regional Careers team leading key industry verticals such as consumer goods, lifestyle retail, chemical and supply chain.

Her expertise lies in being a strategic advisor to organizations in designing and delivering impactful solutions for business and people challenges in the areas of rewards and strategic workforce management, organizational design development and effective change management. In addition to her direct work with client, Manisha also takes keen interest in researching emerging trends and has authored a publication on the digital workforce, talent and reward management strategies in APAC.

Sean Mei
Principal, Mercer

Sean is the Principal at Mercer’s HR M&A services. He specializes in supporting clients through all stages of M&A from due diligence to post merger integration. Prior to joining Mercer, Sean worked for over a decade for multinational companies including PwC, IBM, Shanghai Securities and Korn/Ferry International.

Sean is experienced in delivering excellence for his clients on HR workstream through various stages in M&A projects including HR due diligence, closing support and post-merger integration.

Satomi Murata
Senior Manager, Mercer

Satomi worked for leading Japanese and multinational companies to develop strategic human resource policy and programs, including organization design, compensation and benefits, performance management, post merger integration, mobility, organization development, change management, culture transformation, diversity, equity and inclusion as well as leadership and talent management.

A graduate of Law at Keio University, Satomi is also a Master of Business Administration, graduating from Durham University Business School in 2019. She led a successful project to redesign HR management of the senior employees to enhance their performance in the workplace.

Kabir currently serves as the Strategic Initiatives Leader for Mercer in Asia and Chief of Staff to Mercer President Asia. His primary focus is on enhancing the efficiency of time, information and decision-making processes within Mercer's fastest-growing and most diverse region, Asia. With a diverse range of roles under his belt, Kabir has been a constant force at Mercer for the last nine years. Before taking on his current pivotal role, Kabir spent seven years as the Skills Transformation Leader in Mercer Singapore's Career Practice.

Throughout his 13-year career in Human Resources Consulting, Kabir has consistently tackled complex people problems at the intersection of talent and reward. From Singapore and Malaysia to Vietnam, the Middle East and Shanghai, he has successfully led and solved challenges in workforce transformation, strategic workforce planning and talent management.

Dr. Vanessa San

Dr. San is the Wellbeing Leader in Mercer Marsh Benefits Singapore. She brings over 20 years of experience in the fields of mental health and consulting, across corporate, educational and clinical settings. With wellbeing and mental health featuring as top workplace concerns, Dr. San applies her expertise and passion in partnering with clients to tackle these pressing needs.

She works with clients in designing strategies, creating ecosystems and delivering effective programs for lasting impact, while promoting greater awareness of the wellbeing imperative to workplace health and safety as well as talent attraction, engagement and retention.

Reiko Sasaki

Reiko Sasaki is a principal leading Organization Development at Mercer’s Tokyo office. She specializes in supporting organization and people transformation. Her experience includes supporting the people side of cross-border M&A transactions, culture transformation, HR program design and implementation as well as change management.

She also has extensive experience in talent management including assessment, organization development as well as DEI and culture, which she acquired in her previous role as the Head of Talent Management and Organization Development at a leading pharmaceutical company.

Talent and Transformation Consulting Leader – India and South Asia, Mercer

Sukhmeet leads the Talent and Transformation Consulting business of Mercer in India and neighboring countries. He has more than 18 years of consulting experience and has managed projects across more than15 countries covering Asia and IMEA markets. He has advised leadership teams of numerous Indian and multinational organizations to address the human capital challenges resulting from business transformation and M&A and helped build the future-ready organizations.

Prior to joining Mercer in 2011, Sukhmeet has worked with Ernst & Young in the Advisory practice and Hewitt Associates in the Talent and Organization Consulting practice, advising clients in India and the Middle East.

Sukhmeet has an MBA degree from XLRI - Xavier School of Management, India and holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Computers) degree from Mumbai University.

Sean is a Partner in Mercer Singapore. He leads the Talent, Workforce Transformation and Rewards practice, which delivers advisory services and insights to help our clients on their most important people and culture ambitions in areas such as work design, skills transformation, total rewards strategy and insights, HR function effectiveness, employee experience and organization culture alignment.

His consulting expertise areas include work design, competency modelling, talent management, career pathing, leadership development, performance management, workforce planning and analytics, HR operating model, career value proposition, organization culture alignment, employee engagement and people strategy formulation.

Sean holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Yasuhiro Tanaka
Senior Manager, Mercer

Yasuhiro Tanaka is a Senior Manager of the Career Consulting Service Group at Mercer Japan. He manages projects for major global and Japanese multinational clients in a wide range of fields, including the development of organizational and human resource management strategies, workforce planning, the design, implementation, and maintenance of human resource programs, business turnarounds, strengthening of human resource functions and the planning and execution of various training programs.

Prior to joining Mercer, he worked in frontline businesses and corporate HR in the transportation industry in Japan. He holds a BA in Social Sciences from Hitotsubashi University and an MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, University of Michigan.

Charmaine is an Associate Principal with Mercer's Talent and Transformation business in Singapore. She leads the work design solution area for Mercer Singapore and has extensive experience working across various solution areas, including competency framework development, employee listening, change management and organization design.

She has advised both public and private sector clients across the US, Europe and Asia, covering various sectors of healthcare, retail, consumer goods, real estate and social services.

Charmaine has recently led a number of large-scale target operating model projects for global leading FMCG organizations and has advised these clients on how to transition to their future state across processes, technology, data and people.

Joel is the Strategic Initiatives Leader for Mercer Singapore and Chief of Staff to the Marsh McLennan South East Asia CEO. He supports several country leadership teams in the areas of strategic planning and project management with a key focus on improving profitability, fostering cross-brand collaboration and creating an inclusive work environment.

Prior to his stint in strategy, Joel spent seven year in the general insurance space as an underwriter and broker in several leading insurance companies. He was a key member of the founding team that built the first end-to-end digital solution for medical malpractice insurance in Asia with extensive exposure in working with government level entities, multinational groups and building partnerships with professional associations.

Marieke van Raaij leads the Centre of Excellence team, based in Singapore, to support the business development and operational success of employee listening engagements across the broad region. Marieke’s career as a Human Resources Consultant spans almost 3 decades, with the last 18 years spent in Hong Kong and Singapore. She has had the opportunity to work closely with many prestigious companies across industry and geography, with a focus on organizational culture and climate and employee engagement. Her international background and experience help her in her role of understanding culture and working with large, complex multinationals. Marieke’s previous roles have included leading a boutique consulting firm that focused on designing, implementing and brokering HR solutions to enable clients’ digital transformation journey. She has also worked with a technology company focusing on gamification, where her role included designing assessment, development and engagement solutions, using technology and gamification to create an immersive employee experience.

In his current role as Mercer Marsh Benefits Leader for Asia, Steven spearheads Mercer Marsh Benefits' employee health and benefits business, including global benefits management, broking, consulting and digital solutions across all countries and regions in Asia, overseeing the design and implementation of strategies and solutions to meet the evolving needs of multinational companies and their workforces.

With over 25 years of experience in employee benefits, actuarial and HR consulting, Steven delivers innovative and effective solutions for multinational companies across the Asia Pacific and the US, encompassing insurance and benefits design, communication and health management, total rewards and wellness, ESG/DEI implementation, retirement planning, risk management, pension and health plan modelling and valuations as well as benefits digitalization.

A fellow of the Society of Actuaries (2003) and the China Actuarial Society (2008), Steven also actively shares his knowledge and experience through speaking engagements and publications.

Helmi Yusoff is a Principal Consultant with Mercer. With over 14 years of expertise in the field, Helmi has established himself as the lead for Mercer’s South East Asia Rewards Practice. Throughout his career, he has successfully directed and managed numerous HR consulting projects, specializing in areas such as broad-based rewards, sales incentive plan design, performance management design and skills framework design.

Helmi's extensive client portfolio spans across various industries, including consumer goods, life sciences, public sector, air transport, media, logistics and sovereign wealth funds. His skills and knowledge have allowed him to work with clients from different sectors, providing them with valuable insights and strategic solutions.

Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to work with clients in multiple countries across Asia, including Brunei. This global experience has further enriched his understanding of diverse business environments and cultural nuances, enabling him to deliver tailored and effective consulting services.

Currently, Helmi is based in Singapore, and delivers regional/international projects for conglomerates headquartered out of Singapore. Helmi also supports Mercer rewards consulting teams across South East Asia and provide strategic guidance to enable them to deliver complex consulting engagements.

Haze is Mercer’s Greater China & SEA M&A Advisory Services Leader. She specializes in undertaking operational and HR diligence and leading post deal integration engagements for private equity and corporate clients. Haze is also proficient in identifying and quantifying synergy benefits and related implementation costs.

Prior to joining Mercer, Haze gained over fourteen years of experience working for PwC, Pfizer Pharmaceutical, L’Oreal Asia Pacific and Coca-Cola across Hong Kong and mainland China, with extensive exposure in organizational restructuring, strategic workforce planning, talent assessment and project management.
